Have you ever wanted your students to connect with students across the globe in a meaningful prolonged conversation? Teachers and students in the Franklin West Supervisory Union have moved beyond the idea of a traditional "pen pal" and started a true global collaborative. Working with International Virtual School (IVECA), fourth and fifth grade students have started the journey to intercultural competence, an essential skill in our present world. IVECA helps students to communicate with one another in different cultures and countries. The program provides a virtual environment that enables students to share subject matters and socialize within the program. Join FWSU educators, and the Executive Director of IVECA, to learn more about our experience and how to plan your own global collaboration.
